Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan, is dubbed the “fruit garden of Pakistan” thanks to its gorgeous fruit orchards.
On the outskirts of Quetta, 130 km away, is Ziarat— a quaint holiday resort with pleasant weather all year round— where the iconic Quaid-e-Azam house is located. Ziarat is home to the largest area of juniper forests in Pakistan, also believed to be the second-largest in the world. Dating back some 5,000-7,000 years, these ancient forests are referred to as “living fossils” by the locals.
