Nanga Parbat

Nanga Parbat – the ‘Killing’ Beauty!

Featured Trips

Nanga Parbat, the 8125 m high mountain peak, the second-highest peak of Pakistan, and the eighth-highest peak in the world – the Killer Mountain, is among the most breath-taking (quite literally) mountain peaks of the world. It is called the ‘Killer Mountain’ given the fact that throughout the years, the mountain has taken away the lives of many climbers who went on a summit to the peak.

As its name suggests, Nanga Parbat is considered among the toughest mountains to ascent, and thus many climbers have been killed or gone missing in the attempt. However surprisingly, the Nanga Parbat Base Camp is very accessible even for inexperienced climbers and trekkers.

Located only 4 hours away from the beautiful Fairy Meadows, it is a great campsite that usually serves as a base camp for organizing treks up to the peak.

You can view the Nanga Parbat from many places including the Fairy Meadows, Herrligkoffer Base Camp overlooking the largest ice wall of the Himalayas, and the Deosai Plateau, all of which provide equally admirable yet unique views of the mountain!
