The place is quite famous and one can spot many tourists including the locals as the place offers various recreational activities like swimming, camel riding and horse riding which acts as a source of attraction.

Furthermore, the place is also famous for being a nesting ground for different species of turtles which includes the green sea turtle and the olive ridley sea turtle. The turtles are likely to come out during the winter season. This is one of the reasons why WWF i.e. World Wide Fund for Nature arranged as wetland centre on the beach that provided adequate amount of information to the tourists regarding the distinct species of turtles.
