Azad Kashmir: Spend Your Honeymoon In Paradise!

honeymoon   Nov 30, 2018

Looking for the perfect honeymoon package this winter, complete with gorgeous scenery, stunning valleys, and magical waterfalls? Book a relaxing romantic getaway to the beautiful Azad Kashmir and leave the rest to us!

With us your trip is completely stress-free and unforgettable. You will be picked up in the morning, around 6 am, from Islamabad in a private air-conditioned car with a driver familiar with all the routes and stops along the way. The car will be at your disposal throughout the journey.

Sit back and enjoy the scenic drive to Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Kashmir, as the landscape changes from green woodlands and plains to frost-covered hills and mountains dotted with pine trees. After 4 hours there’s a stop at Muzaffarabad for breakfast. Here, you can sip some hot (and authentic!) Kashmiri chai while you enjoy panoramic views of Kashmir ensconced in fluffy snow. If you’re in the mood to explore, 15 minutes from your resting stop is the ancient Rutta Qila or Red Fort which was a strategic defence point central to the history of Kashmir.

After a short stay at Muzaffarabad, you will head out to Keran, a village and tourist resort in Azad Kashmir. Along the way are charming waterfalls that are among some of the must-see places in Pakistan! The Dhani waterfall, at a secluded, picturesque spot is the largest waterfall in Neelum Valley, while the majestic Kutton waterfall, with a beautiful viewpoint nearby, is the widest.

As you arrive in Keran, you have several options for the rest of the day. You can rest at a comfortable hotel, have dinner and call it a night. Or go sightseeing in the mesmerising Keran valley with streams, lakes and the peaceful Neelum river flowing through. Pay a visit to the local bazaars filled with friendly shopkeepers selling lovely local ornaments, hand-woven Kashmiri shawls and the famed Kashmiri honey.

The hotel we arrange for you will be fully furnished with all amenities. After a night stay and breakfast the following morning, it’s time to depart for Sharda. Here you can relax and unwind at a resort while you take in the scenery. At this altitude it’s possible to view Pakistan down below on one side and India on the other separated by the historic line of control. Then, the car takes you higher up to Kel.

From here it’s a short distance to Arang Kel, a lush green village known as the “Pearl of Neelum Valley”. Hop on to a chairlift for one of the most memorable rides of your life over the enchanting route to Arang Kel. The remainder of the journey will be covered on foot so take out your trekking gear and prepare to make your way to the top with a guide.

Arang Kel looms into view 45 minutes later— a slice of paradise here on earth. In summers its fields are dewy, with horses and goats frolicking about, and colourful birds singing it its dense forests. In winter, its plains are carpeted with fresh snow and wooden huts and rest houses glow invitingly among the coniferous trees.  As the sun sets in paradise, you trek back to Kel and from there on are driven to Keran.

A live BBQ dinner and bonfire can be arranged for you at Keran at your request. You may call ahead and let us know accordingly. The last night is spent at the hotel after which you leave for Islamabad, once again taking the route through Muzaffarabad. The itinerary is pretty flexible and can be adjusted according to your wishes. It is recommended that you inform us in advance so we can ask for the necessary permissions if need be.

A standard honeymoon trip is in the range of Rs 35,000- Rs 45,000— one of the best rates available in the market! To customise your vacation, get in touch with us at 0333-0596362.
